What is ECVET?
The European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) is a European instrument designed to support lifelong learning, the mobility of learners and the flexibility of learning pathways to achieve qualifications. Developed by Member States in cooperation with the European Commission, ECVET has been adopted by the European Parliament and the Council in 2009. The adoption and implementation of ECVET in the participating countries is voluntary.

The main ECVET concepts and principles are:

Learning outcomes, units of learning outcomes, ECVET points, credit and learning agreements.

Spa treatments
Spa is a location where mineral-rich spring water is used to give medicinal baths. Spa towns or hot springs resorts typically offer various health treatments. The belief in the curative powers of mineral waters goes back to prehistoric times. Such practices have been popular worldwide, but are especially widespread around Europe.

Spa therapies have existed since the classical times when taking bath with water was considered as a popular means to treat illnesses.

Spa treatment is non-medical procedure to help the health of the body. Typical treatments include massages (lymph drainage, aroma therapy, stone, ayurveda, reflexology, shiatsu, thai), waterfall, feet bath, sauna, sensations shower, steam bath and hot spring.

Who is Thermal Spa Therapist?
Thermal Spa therapists use a range of treatments designed to enhance their clients' appearance, reduce their stress levels or improve their well-being. Thermal Spa therapists offer therapies and treatments such as hydrotherapy, massages, body treatments and facials.

Before starting any treatments, therapists talk to their clients to get an understanding of their needs and expectations and to complete a health questionnaire with them. They may also produce an individual treatment plan.

During treatments, therapists make sure their clients are kept informed and are comfortable at all times. After treatments, they discuss aftercare and suggest suitable spa products.
